Atsabe, East Timor - South East Asia

Atsabe is the capital of the East Timorese sub districts in the Ermera district. Atsabe in East Timor is visited by large numbers of tourists every year. The village is located at a height of 1,507 meters above the sea level. Atsabe is located at a distance of 45 kilometers north east from the capital of Dili. The city is also situated 24 kilometers from Gleno.

A Street connects to the north with Atsabe Letefoho and continues to Gleno, south of Bobonaro, Maliana and Zumalai. Among the Cities in East Timor, Atsabe in East Timor has many ancient and historical buildings along with administrative buildings and conspicuous tomb.

Atsabe has a climate that is tropical and generally hot and humid, characterized by distinct rainy and dry seasons. East Timor has the capital city that is know as Dili. Dili is also the main port of the country. Dili is also the second largest city is the eastern town of Baucau. One can reach Atsabe in East Timor from Dili that has the only functioning international airport in the region. There are airstrips in Baucau, Suai and Oecusse, which are used for domestic flights. The airport of Dili is small enough to accommodate large aircrafts.

The language spoken by the people of Atsabe are Portuguese and Tetum. Tetum is the local Austronesian language. The predominant form of Tetum, known as Tetun-Dili, grew out of the dialect favored by the colonizers in Dili and thus has considerable Portuguese influence. Tetum is widely used in the country. Tetun-Terik is also spoken along the south-western coast.

Indonesian and English are defined as the working languages under the Constitution in the Final and Transitional Provisions. In the offices and administrative buildings of Atsabe in East Timor, English and Portuguese are widely spoken and official work is done in this 2 languages.
