Yangoon, has much to offer. By day discover the Buddhist splendour of the Sula Pagoda, the Shwedagon Golden Stupa and the Chauk-tat-gyi Pogoda. Visit the National Museum for some local history. By night roam Yangon's boulevards and enjoy the local flavours. Close to the city is the potter's town of Twante, this ancient town makes for a delightful day trip.

The cultural centre of Myanmar is Mandalay. A delightful place, the town is a blend of history, art and nature. Myanmar's greatest sight is the Kyaiktiyo or the Golden Rock. A must see, this is one of the most sacred sites in Myanmar.

Mingun, the site of an ancient city, and Bagan, a religious city with over 2,300 Buddhist monuments, make for an excellent trip too.
