If you are a sun worshipper, then you will surely love the Boracay beaches. Boracay is indeed a paradise to people who enjoy the beach and the sun. Boracay beaches have been hailed by Yahoo Travel as well as BMW Tropical Beach Handbook as one of the best beaches in the world. The island attracts thousands of visitors, local and foreign, on a yearly basis. Some tourists have even chosen to stay on the island for good.

With its crystal clear waters and white sand beaches, the island offers endless possibilities. Boracay beaches offer a lot of activities and adventures. You can go island trekking, beach hopping, cliff jumping, sailing, skim boarding, windsurfing, fishing and scuba diving. You can also try mountain biking, horseback riding, kite boarding, hiking or trekking. You can play volleyball or golf. The possibilities are endless!

White Beach

There are more than a dozen Boracay beaches. These beaches share the same powdery soft white sand and the crystal clear blue waters - the same things for which the island is known for. The most well-known beach in Boracay is White Beach. This famous stretch of fine white sand is actually 4 kilometers long and 100 meters wide. There are many things you can do at White Beach. You can enjoy sunbathing or relaxing under the cool shades of the pam.trees bordering the beach. You can go wading, snorkeling, skim boarding and sailing. Many people enjoy the banana boat ride and the glass bottom boat ride.

Diniwid Beach

One of the popular Boracay beaches is Diniwid Beach. This is actually an exclusive resort that is a bit smaller than White Beach. Its sand stretches up to 200 meters long. It is actually located on the northern end of White Beach. Many people, however, go to the Diniwid Beach for the breathtaking view of Boracay from the platform rock.

Puka Shell Beach

One of the biggest Boracay beaches is Puka Shell Beach. It is the second largest beach next to White Beach. It practically covers the northern portion of the island. It is 800 meters long and it is a perfect place to go to if you would like to do some beach combing. There is an abundance of shells and white coral amulets. As the name suggests, this beach is named after the Puka shell. This may not be an ideal place for swimming especially for children but it is perfect place to go for sightseeing. It is recommended that you hire am.torized boat to really appreciate the beauty of this beach.

Balinghai Beach

If you are looking for a perfect romantic getaway, you should definitely visit Balinghai Beach. This is enclosed by rocky walls which basically offer solitude. There are cottages all over the beach but these are scattered on the craggy cliffs. There are cottages above the cliff as well. You can definitely do some snorkeling while you are on Balinghai because there is a beautiful coral reef not far from its shore.

Cagban Beach

Boracay beaches offer unique attractions. For instance, if you want to have a great treasure hunting adventure, you could visit Cagban Beach. It is believed that there are still buried treasures in Cagban. This beach also offers solitude and relaxation, so if you are tired of the crowd and noise of White Beach, you can always choose to go to Cagban instead.

Bulabog Beach

Windsurfers have their own favorite beach in Boracay and that is Bulabog Beach. This beach comes alive during the first few months of the year when windsurfers, amateurs and professionals, flock to the area to take advantage of the powerful winds. You could basically do some windsurfing in am.st all Boracay beaches; but if you really want to test your windsurfing skills, Bulabog beach is the place you definitely want to go to.

Tulubhan Beach

Moving further south from Bulabog Beach, you will find Tulubhan Beach, a small and peaceful beach with many coves. People enjoy Tulubhan especially during the months of February and March. The area is bordered with many old trees that offer shade during the summer months.

There are still many other Boracay beaches that you should definitely visit. Some of which includes Tambisan Beach, Manoc-Manoc Beach, Punta Bunga Beach, Banyugan Beach and Ilig-Iligan Beach.

You should definitely visit all of these beautiful Boracay beaches. Regardless of where you choose to go to, you will most assuredly will have am.morable Boracay experience.
