The dolphins are considered very lovely and friendly creatures. At the Dolphin Lagoon in Sentosa, you are gifted with the wonderful opportunity of not only watching these admirable creatures from very close quarters but also of befriending them.

The Dolphin lagoon is located within the Underwater World Park in Sentosa Island in Sentosa. It is home to the Indo-Pacific Humpback dolphins. These dolphins are more popularly known as the Pink Dolphins. At the time of the construction of the Dolphin Lagoon, it was kept in mind that they should be made to live in an environment which is akin to their natural habitat. This ensured that the dolphins never felt out of place.

Every day, a Meet-the-Dolphins session is held at the Dolphin Lagoon in Sentosa. Here you will get the chance to watch the feats of these trained dolphins. You are sure to be impressed by their remarkable performances. They will surely win over your minds. If you are amongst the lucky few, they may even register a kiss on your cheek. After all they are very amiable creatures who are always willing to make new friends.

It is indeed a matter of great concern that these endearing dolphins are now endangered creatures. So the management of the Dolphin Lagoon intends to increase awareness among the people so that it may be relatively easier to protect these admirable animals.

It's fun in the sun with charming pink dolphins at the Dolphin Lagoon! Observe these rare mammals through a variety of interactive, feeding and training sessions specially designed to demonstrate their natrual ability like spy-hopping, tail-walking and vocalisation. Get up close and bring home fond memories.

The first of its kind in Asia - Underwater World's new Dolphin Lagoon at the Central Beach houses the Indo-Pacific Humpbacked Dolphins, commonly known as pink dolphins for its coat of "bubbly" pink. Built at a cost of approximately S$3 million, the Dolphin Lagoon was specially constructed to simulate a natural environment similar to their original habitat. Containing approximately 30 million litres of filtered natural seawater, the lagoon has an undulating sandy bottom to provide the dolphins with a variety of water depths and is surrounded by lovely white beaches lined with palm trees.

At the "Meet-the Dolphin" sessions, visitors are able to watch the dolphins perform their natural behaviours such as spy-hop, tail-flapping, vocalisations etc. Some visitors will also be allowed to wade into shallow waters, under the guidance of staff from the Underwater World, to touch and feed these wonderful and highly intelligent animals.
