    There is another Budget Terminal at the Chnagi International Airport, designed to cater to the budget airline business model. , which is operational from 26 March 2006. It is a 25, 000 square meters building comprising of 2 adjacent single-storey buildings separately dedicated for departure and arrival respectively. The Budget Terminal consists of 10 departure gates, 18 check in counters, and 3 arrival baggage belts. With an annual handling capacity of about 2.7 million passengers, the Budget Terminal operates at the lowest International Passenger Charge . The Passenger Service Charge is SG$7 and Passenger Security Service Charge is priced SG$6.

    There are 10 international flight operators currently operating from terminal 2. They are Air Canada, Air France, Air New Zealand, Lufthansa German Airlines, Malaysia Airline System, Philippine Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, SilkAir, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways. Others operate from Terminal 1. The airport operates about 80 airlines that serve more than 180 cities in more than 50 countries world wide.
